Next course: 07th - 09th September 2015
Munich | Germany | Deutsches Herzzentrum München
There is a growing number of conferences in interventional therapies of aortic valve diseases (= transcatheter aortic valve implantation [TAVI]) throughout the world. These meetings typically attract large numbers of physicians and intend to dissipate, both, theoretical and practical knowledge through expert lectures.
The Munich Interventional Course (MIC) contrasts to these large scale meetings with a multi-day course for a selected group of 4 to 5 members of the heart team focussing on practical topics in transfemoral TAVI. Basic and complex TAVI procedures will be addressed comprehensively. Moreover, MIC-TAVI will highlight both, state-of-the-art and advanced techniques through a mixture of practical lectures and case demonstrations. Furthermore, MIC-TAVI also offers the attendees to be hands-on at the table and to participate actively in the procedures learning tips and tricks “straight from the horse’s mouth”. During the course, up to 10 TAVI cases will be performed. The 2-days course will be held on Monday and Tuesday, the 3-days course from Monday to Wednesday. The practical sessions will be accompanied by interactive lectures every morning and afternoon. The departure and farewell will be on Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon.
